Svetlana LESCOVA-AUDRA was born in Latvia, Europe in 1965.
As a child Lana was surrounded by flowers in gardens and showed tremendous interest for drawings.
Throughout her childhood, Lana was taken to gardens and museums in East-Europe and the Middle East.
Lana visited many times Paris, where in 1999 she met and married the talented painter Jean-Philippe AUDRA born in Cameroon. Since 2000 the artistic couple has pursued a common international carrier, and have exhibited together often in Europe and North America.
Lana considers herself an autodidact. About her work, she comments “It is simple for me because I just want to paint flowers, and I sense it flow out of my hands, like a fountain of creation.”
“You see, I have to paint all the beauty I see in my garden into my paintings, it is my catalyst!”
Lana has a very colorful and distinctive painting style that has been already recognized by collectors who are touched not only by her themes, but by her technique. “Lana works with all her heart in such a way that the goal of her paintings-bringing a universal message of Love and Peace-is realized through creative ways of melting colors. The results are “magnificent,” commented Fine Art publisher Jamie Ellin Forbes.
In 2001 Lana presented her first solo exhibition in Paris.
Encouraged by her success she left France in 2001 for exhibits in Toronto and Chicago.
Today Lana’s paintings can be found in collections worldwide.
- In 2003 Whirlpool Canada placed a large triptych in their Toronto headquarters.
- In 2008, the Forbes family owners of Fine Art Magazine acquired 2 paintings at the occasion of the Artexpo New-York 30th anniversary.
Since 2004, Lana and her husband, Jean-Philippe, have established a common workshop in the scenic village of Val-David located in the heart of the colorful Laurentian mountains of Quebec-Canada.
